The Marron Glacé collection is a clin d’oeil to one of Fifi’s favorite delicate confectioneries in the world: le marron glacé! Those candied chestnuts appeared in chestnut-growing areas in the North of Italy and Southern France, shortly after crusaders returned to Europe with sugar. Cooking with it allowed creation of those new treats. Until today, Lyon and Cuneo dispute the title for the addition of the glazing, or icing that makes “le vrai marron glacé”. Marron glace cushion is made out of a glazed gourmet Jacquard fabric with an amazing shine to it.
