One big 2016 trend we have identified, here at Fifi de Lyon, is the "rustic chic" trend and we love it! Here are some key features in that trend: 1- Mixing modern pieces with classic and rustic items to give your room a more organic feel.
2- Use of natural elements like stones, wood, vintage bamboo, for exteriors and interiors.
3- Use of natural fabrics like cotton, cane, raffia, cord and jute for upholstery and cushions.
4- Use as much of natural light in a room as possible in order to help with the natural feel.
5- Mixing different types of wood, woven and plain leathers, cast iron and ceramics to make the rooms more warm and earthy, with a feel of plenitude.

I don't how do you feel about that trend for your own interiors, but at my house, I tried to blend in certain rooms some "rustic chic" elements as it is giving a very relaxing and organic feel. Hope to post a few pics here soon!
